Standing Firm in Love, Inclusion, and Justice

In times of uncertainty and division, DayBreak remains steadfast in our values—ensuring that all seniors, caregivers, adults with disabilities, and members of the LGBTQIA+ community feel seen, valued, and cared for. We continue to center our work on inclusion, dignity, and love, knowing that the strength of our community lies in its diversity.

As we celebrate Black History Month, we honor the countless Black Americans whose resilience, innovation, and cultural contributions have helped shape this nation—often in the face of immense systemic barriers. The strength and perseverance of our Black elders, neighbors, and ancestors are deeply woven into the fabric of our country, reminding us that Black history is American history.

At DayBreak, we also recognize that oppression and inequity still persist. We urge our community to challenge systems that foster hate, fear, and division, and to reject the forces that seek to marginalize and silence. Instead, let’s choose—today and every day—to listen with empathy, learn with humility, and resist with love. Together, we will build a future rooted in justice, belonging, and dignity for all.
